Whether we and our politicians know it or not, Nature is party to all our deals and decisions, and she has more votes, a longer memory, and a sterner sense of justice than we do ~ Wendell Berry

I established this site a few years back in order to garner support for a point of view that we, as a community, need to preserve our common wealth of natural resources, specifically, our natural grass playing fields that are under assault from plasticos and rubber barons seeking to replace them with artificial, synthetic surfaces.

The promoters of synthetic fields in many communities seek public funding to convert public recreational land into the moral equivalent of a tire and plastics landfill, fence it and then turn it over for the primary use of  private sports clubs and leagues. To warn against the mindless proliferation of artificial turf fields as necessary as they seem I established , an international forum for educating the global citizen about the short-comings that the purveyors of turf will not admit or disclose.

In its present form, this site still remains mostly about things that I know little about when I begin to explore. By the time I am finished digging, I still might not know much about the subject but have ended up educating others in how much they did not know at all. It is all about the journey to discovery.

Love and peace,
